Warranty & After-Sales Service – PACKELITES
Packelites products are designed to offer durability, reliability, and performance for many years.
As a consumer, you benefit from:
- Mandatory legal guarantees (conformity & hidden defects).
- The Airbag Travel 3-year commercial warranty applies to all our bags and travel accessories.
1. Legal guarantees (France / European Union)
Legal guarantees automatically apply to any purchase made by a consumer from a professional seller.
1.1. Legal guarantee of conformity (2 years)
In accordance with Articles L.217-3 et seq. of the Consumer Code, a product is compliant when it:
- Corresponds to the description provided at the time of sale.
- It is suitable for the use normally expected of a product of the same type.
- It offers the quality and durability that a consumer can legitimately expect.
Duration:
You have 2 years from receipt of the product to report a lack of conformity.
Your rights:
- The repair,
- Or replacement,
- And if these solutions are impossible: a partial or total refund.
This legal guarantee applies independently of our 3-year commercial guarantee.
1.2. Legal guarantee against hidden defects
In accordance with Articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code, this warranty covers defects not visible at the time of purchase which:
- Render the product unfit for its intended use.
- Or they greatly reduce its usefulness.
Your rights:
- Return the product and get a refund.
- Or keep the product and get a price reduction.
2. Packelites Commercial Warranty – 3 years
In addition to legal guarantees, all Packelites bags benefit from a 3-year commercial guarantee, covering manufacturing or material defects.
2.1. What is covered
The following are guaranteed for 3 years:
- The seams (abnormal rupture, premature unstitching),
- Zippers with defects not related to excessive use,
- Straps, handles, fasteners, carabiners,
- Loops and compression systems,
- Defects related to materials (fabric, lining, reinforcements) under normal use.
Packelites may, depending on the circumstances:
- Repair the item,
- Replace it with an identical or equivalent model.
- Or offer a credit note or a refund of the amount paid.
3. Limitations of the commercial warranty
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear (abrasion, slight discoloration, micro-scratches, softening of the fabric),
- Aesthetic damage that does not impair the functionality of the product,
- The damage caused by:
- An overload,
- Poor maintenance
- Extreme exposure (excessive heat, prolonged humidity, solvents),
- A shock, a fall, or a crushing injury,
- Damage caused by carriers (airlines, buses, taxis, etc.),
- The loss or theft of the product,
- Repairs carried out by an unauthorized service.
Also not covered are:
- The items carried in the bag,
- Indirect damages (lost profits, travel expenses, missed connections, etc.).
4. How to claim a warranty?
For any warranty-related inquiries (legal or commercial), please contact:

Please indicate:
- Your name and contact details,
- Your order number,
- The place and date of purchase,
- A description of the problem,
- Photos/videos of the observed defect.
We will analyze your case and get back to you with the appropriate procedure (repair, replacement, possible return…).
5. Relationship between legal guarantees and commercial guarantees
The statutory warranties always apply and are in no way limited by the Packelites commercial warranty.
The 3-year commercial warranty is an additional benefit offered to customers.
